Russian electric car ATOM

Production of the new car is planned to start in 2025 at the Moskvich factory. According to the «Motor» portal, Atom will receive a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, created jointly with «Rosatom». Its output is 150 kW (204 hp). The electric car will accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in less than 8 seconds.

The battery capacity of 77 kWh will allow the Atom to drive up to 500 km on the WLTC cycle. The battery will withstand 1000 charging cycles, and in winter it will be protected from hypothermia by a built-in heater. Fast DC charging will replenish energy for 100 km in 8 minutes. It can be recharged from 0 to 80% in half an hour.

The Atom electric car will be equipped with a combined dashboard and media system with a screen on the steering wheel (a head-up display is also promised), climate control, ADAS level 2.5 assistants, sensors, radars and cameras. The operating system will also be its own - Atom OS, which will allow you to control the car from an application on your smartphone.

According to Atom executive director Harald Grübel, the annual production volume at the first stage, according to preliminary estimates, will be up to 30 thousand cars, depending on the number of pre-orders from the business. By 2030, Kama intends to produce over 100 thousand cars per year, including through the development of exports. The export destinations for Atom electric vehicles could be Southeast Asia, the Middle East and, possibly, China.
